Linedata Services Wins Innovator Award from Windows in Financial Services

Boston, MA, – Linedata Services (LIN:FP), a global leader in the financial technology market, today announced that it has been awarded the 2007 Innovator Award by Windows in Financial Services, a publication which covers Microsoft technology in the financial space. The award recognizes Linedata Services’ innovation in the development of LongView Live.
LongView Live is the next generation of Linedata Services’ powerful, global, multi-asset class order management system, and the first to make full use of Microsoft’s Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) technology, which is optimized for data visualization. Previewed at the SIFMA Conference in June, LongView Live will be fully operational to clients in the coming months.
Linedata Services used WPF to depart from a spreadsheet-type interface – a standard for the industry – to make LongView Live a graphics-intensive, intuitive cockpit for traders and portfolio managers. LongView Live also offers seamless integration with broker/dealers, execution management systems, and liquidity destinations like dark pools, all in a broker-neutral environment and on a real-time (or “Live”) screen.

To be sure, this is not the first time that Linedata’s LongView Trading has teamed up with Microsoft to change the buy-side technology landscape. LongView Trading was the first Window-based order management system, the first to facilitate global electronic trading, the first to support a truly scalable architecture using Microsoft’s .Net technology, and the first to offer an ASP model.
This represents the second award this year for Linedata Services. In March the Hedge Fund Journal Awards 2007, recognised Linedata as the Best Hedge Fund Technology Supplier thanks to Beauchamp, its hedge fund software suite.
